Welcome to Grant Cedar Mill, owned and operated by Richard and Leslie Smith and Gerald Kelley. Located in Smith County,Tennessee, off Interstate 40 at Exit 254, 50 miles east of Nashville, the company was started fifteen years ago with little more than one contract and a prayer. Since that time it has grown by leaps and bounds, now shipping lumber across the Eastern half of the United States and exporting lumber to China. We also sell lumber, slabs, and sawdust to the general public. We buy cedar logs, using the International Cedar Scale and Offering promotional incentives for all loggers.
We are expanding in several areas and would like everyone to stop by and see all the changes.
We are now buying cedar by weight as well as measurement. This is a great improvement as it assist the loggers in getting in and out at a much faster pace.
Also, we have installed a mulcher and are able to meet the demand for cedar mulch that so many have been requesting.
We are in the process of building a large shop which will accomodate several vehicles and will allow us to work on any of our heavy equipment with plenty of space to spare.
our new building houses our sawdust and keeps it out of the weather. This will allow customers to be able to get dry sawdust anytime without the worry of rainy days.
