As a leading provider of red cedar products in the eastern United States, our sawmill offers the best quality log home logs, cants, dimensional lumber, mulch and sawdust. Being a locally owned small business, we are able to provide retail cedar products directly to the public. At the same time, we are able to supply major log home and flooring companies by producing over 8,000 board feet of wholesale lumber a day. Grant Cedar Mill is owned and operated by Richard and Leslie Smith and Gerald Kelley.The company was started twenty years ago with little more than one contract and a prayer. Since that time it has grown by leaps and bounds, now shipping lumber across the eastern half of the United States and exporting lumber internationally. We buy cedar logs by weight and by measure using the International cedar scale.
